5 Places to Eat in Belgrade

MintCafe_c1

In Belgrade, you’ll find all of life’s essentials: groceries, hardware, sundries, community… and, of course, dining. Sure, you can always make your way to Bozeman to have even more dining options, but some nights it’s nice to stay close to home. And the best part is, Belgrade offers a nice variety of cuisine styles and flavors. Here are our five favorite places to eat in Belgrade, Montana.

Mint Cafe and Bar

The Mint Cafe and Bar is a Montana steakhouse and gathering place at the center of Belgrade. The space has plenty of history and character, offering top-notch hospitality along with tasty comfort food like their famous meatloaf or beef stroganoff—and of course, the steak. You can dress up or down for dinner when you head here for a table. Hit up happy hour for drink deals and a taste of the Belgrade community backbone at the Mint.

Mackenzie River Pizza

Touted as “the best pie from the Big Sky,” Mackenzie River Pizza is a small Montana-owned chain with big flavor. They have locations in Missoula, Bozeman, Billings, Great Falls, the Flathead Valley, and—you guessed it—Belgrade. Order takeout for game day, or dine in to catch up with friends and family. They have all your classics covered, plus gourmet bites like Pear and Bleu Flatbread and Baked Ziti to keep everyone’s palate happy.

Rice Fine Thai Cuisine

Another Montana favorite, Rice, has been a Best of Bozeman winner for years running. The good news is, you can enjoy the spiced flavors of some of the best Thai cuisine around, without having to leave Belgrade. Don’t neglect the Pad Thai, of course, but you would be missing out without an order of Tom Yum Soup. And the red curry is some of the most flavorful we’ve found anywhere in the world. You know it has to be good since they carry a Thai Select designation from the Ministry of Commerce in Thailand, a sign of authentic Thai cuisine.

Pho Bone Broth Noodles

A Vietnamese comfort food favorite, pho noodle soup is great to warm up on a cold winter’s day or help kick a pesky sinus infection (steam and spice go a long way). Arguably the best pho in the valley, Pho Bone Broth Noodles, delivers on what its name promises. It certainly seems unassuming, with the generic decor in a hole-in-the-wall spot adjacent to the Albertson’s parking lot, but the best pho has a long tradition as gourmet street food.

Center Ice Cafe

Center Ice comes with a friendly atmosphere and home-style food for breakfast and lunch. Handmade cinnamon and caramel rolls melt on your tongue, and breakfast done right starts your morning off on the best foot. This is an authentic diner atmosphere at its finest, and the hockey vibes are strong in the rink-themed space. They also own Bubby’s Burger Barn on Jackrabbit, so you have options for where you sit down or grab-and-go.
